Leave No Trace: Master Educator

A Master Educator course is designed for people who are actively teaching others backcountry skills or providing recreation information to the public.

As of January 2010, there are over 3500 Leave No Trace Masters world-wide representing nine countries and 50 U.S. states. This valuable training is recognized throughout the world by the outdoor industry and land management agencies. The profile of our graduates is highly varied from USFS and NPS backcountry rangers to scout leaders, from outdoor retail executives to school teachers, from college outing club members to outfitters and guides.

Simyra is a successful graduate of the Master Educator course and has the ability to train others in Leave No Trace skills and ethics, and can offer Leave No Trace Trainer courses (two-day) and Awareness Workshops (one-day or shorter).

Speaker: Girls Scouts of Alaska: Women of Science

It has been my pleasure to be a speaker with the

"Discover the worlds of science and technology
through hands-on activities in fun workshops!
Connect with local women working in
science and technology-related fields."

International Travel Shows

We have been fortunate to attend such wonderful travel venues as Destinations in London, England - and also BIT in Milan, Italy.  Our booth is always filled with people wanting to know more about Alaska's wildlife and wildernes.  We are always happy to promote our Legends of Hallo Bay (bears) and everything that makes Alaska's Hallo Bay Bear Camp a unique destination to visit and take a walk on summer's wild side!

Watch Live - 24/7 - webcams from Homer, Alaska:

Webcam #1:  click here
Positioned on West Hill, overlooking the world famous Homer Spit,
located at the "End of the Road" with Beautiful Kachemak Bay
and the Kenai Mountain Glacier Fields in the background.

Webcam #2: click here
Positioned on West Hill, at the Hallo Bay home office,
looking directly at the bird feeder frequented
by Pine Grosbeaks, Blackcapped Chickadees,
Junkos, Steller Jays and Black billed Magpies
...or any other critters of interest in the neighborhood!

Well ...sometimes Mother Nature works against us
so we have to do a bit of webcam cleanup!

Home: Homer, Alaska

This is our home:  Homer, Alaska

A quaint town nestled on the shore of Kachemak Bay
offering breathtaking views of glaciers, mountains and wildlife.
Homer is known to many as the 'Cosmic Hamlet by the Sea,'
but it was made famous in Tom Bodett's tales as
'The End of the Road'
